“Freedom”

I started this book over winter break. And unfortunately, I didn’t get as much reading done as I would have hoped. I’m about 200 pages in the 562 page book. I really am enjoying it so far, that’s not the problem. Life has just been getting in the way, and this book really consumes your life. The Franzen hype is something worth getting into. The man oozes sheer brilliance.

Happy reading.

READING LIST FOR WINTER BREAK—

I don’t really like being told what to do…

Especially as an English major (or a student for that matter), I hate being told what to read and what to write. No matter how appealing the book may be… I don’t know why… but I can’t seem to make myself actually sit down and fucking open the book.

So weird.

Anyway, I look forward to breaks to actually read something of my choosing. I intend to get through a lot of books, considering I really have nowhere to go or any significant plans.

Please leave suggestions for books to read!

So far, this is what I got:

1. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

2. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy by Stieg Larsson

2. Freedom by Jonathan Franzen

3. Naked by David Sedaris

…that’s it as of now.

Suggestions??
