An Ode
My unfinished, work in progress poem about booze.
This is an ode.
An ode to booze.
He will never cheat on you.
Never deny you.
He will always be there.
And more than willing.
He’ll make you feel beautiful… and sexy.
He’ll make you feel intelligent. Unstoppable. Invincible.
He won’t crush your heart.
Or lie.
He’s very honest… brutally so.
And...
We are students of words; we are shut up in schools, and colleges, and...

It scares me to see adults, like my parents, drunk…
It’s like looking into my future. Frightening.

A Day in the Life
I read the news today oh boy About a lucky man who made the grave And though the news was rather sad Well I just had to laugh I saw the photograph He blew his mind out in a car He didn’t notice that the lights had changed A crowd of people stood and stared They’d seen his face before Nobody was really sure If he was from the House of Lords. I saw a film today oh boy The English Army...

What did you learn in 2010?
I’m trying to compile a list of things I did in 2010, what I learned, how I grew… etc.
What about you?
And what do you hope to accomplish in 2011? Any regrets about 2010?

Happy New Years
I have so much hate towards New Years and New Years Eve.
More so than Valentine’s Day, or any other holiday.
‘Cause even if you haven’t found Mr. Right to kiss at the stroke of twelve, solution: you just get too wasted to notice.
I’ve never had an exciting New Years in my adult-life… I don’t know where all my friends go on this particular night… but...

READING LIST FOR WINTER BREAK--
I don’t really like being told what to do…
Especially as an English major (or a student for that matter), I hate being told what to read and what to write. No matter how appealing the book may be… I don’t know why… but I can’t seem to make myself actually sit down and fucking open the book.
So weird.
Anyway, I look forward to breaks to actually read...
